| NATO “Science for Stability Programme” - TCDD (Turkish State Railways) Rehabilitation Project.
Directed by Prof. Dr. Erdoğan Uzgider the goal of the project was and still is to develop simple methods to assess fatigue life of existing Railway Bridges.
The project involves static and dynamic bridge tests, data processing, computer modelling and developing analytical procedures to predict the remaining fatigue life of railway bridges.
Mr.Kaya participated in the project on site and in laboratory testing as research assistant during his duty in Istanbul Technical University from 1991 to 1997. |
